There is a very bad storm coming to America. It is already here, but the wind is growing much stronger and will reach hurricane levels soon. It’s a Chinese Storm. The Chinese have been very busy over the last 3 years, buying up every bale of quality sheepskin for their own factories in a serious effort to create a monopoly over all products made from sheepskin. The B3 Bomber Jacket was always a slightly higher price than other kinds of leather bomber jackets, but now those prices have risen from $299 to a $1000 per B3 sheepskin bomber jacket. It is only a matter of time before they invade the USA Made leather bomber jacket market with buying up American Cowhide and lambskin leathers.
And this year has seen the Chinese clearly in control of U.S. cotton, as they buy and store bales upon bales in their warehouses, denying our own grown cotton to U.S. Companies. The Chinese driving the price of cotton so high, U.S. made Golf shirts and Polo Shirts, including T-Shirts are now in full jeopardy of disappearing from the marketplace. The danger; cotton can last for many years and the Chinese can buy it all up and just set on it
Let’s understand what is really going on here. It is economic war against the American Economy, plain and simple. Once the Chinese own all of the cotton, do you think they will sell it to back to us? The answer is yes, they will offer a little but the price will be very high and those discount retail store Chinese produced $12 Golf Shirts & Polo Shirts will be running as high as a $75 each. Cheap Chinese T-Shirts will cost as high as $50 each, and last you a month.
Think of what other products are made of cotton or even cotton blends. Many jackets and coats have cotton linings or a cotton blend of some kind. And it will affect the Camo jacket and hunting jacket markets as well.
The Chinese are already taking full control of the nylon market and U.S. manufacturers are finding it harder and harder to get nylon product to make nylon bomber jackets. The Chinese are denying them the needed nylon and cotton-nylon blend fabric to make products.
Plus, the Chinese have even gone further to add more stress on the American market place using a new Chinese standard practice of agreeing to a contract price with the American Factory, however, the Chinese now deliver only a fourth of the order and demand an ‘adjusted’ higher price from the American Factory for delivery of the rest of the order. Its full extortion and an outright economic war to kill the American Textile Industry, including USA Made Navy Pea Coats which use cotton in their lining, and Leather bomber jacket which use both cotton and satin-nylon for its lining.
Unfortunately, our Representatives in Congress have done nothing about it and it appears nothing in foreseeable future will happen to stem this coming storm.
